Extension, Berkeley, CA, 1971; graduate studies in Victorian English Literature at U.C. Berkeley, 1969-'70; special studies in art with James Strombotne, U.C. Riverside, 1968-'69; graduated from: University of California, Riverside, 1965-'69 (English Literature with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa)
Kelso has written about print making and collaboration, and the prints of artists August François Gay, Debra Koppman, Frank Lobdell, and Gertrude Bleiberg. He has taught and lectured on printmaking at Cantor Art Center, Stanford University, Marvin Spohn lecture series, The Oakland Museum of California, The Century Club of California (San Francisco), and Fresno Art Museum, Yale University, New Haven, 1992. He was a member of the Public Art Advisory Committee, Oakland Cultural Affairs Commission, 1999-2004 (Committee Co-Chair, 2003-2004).
