We are very pleased to return to the Philadelphia Antiques & Art Show where will show important Modernist works by Philadelphians included in the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s new exhibition, Modern Times: American Art 1910-1950.
We have Benton Spruance‘s Study for Philadelphia Orchestra Mural, which was commissioned in 1941 along with rare watercolors by Dox Thrash: Row Houses and City View, both of which relate to Thrash’s painting included at PMA. We will also have related work by Claude Clark and Salvatore Pinto, who knew Thrash at the WPA prints workshop during the Great Depression. Other artists from this circle are Sam Brown, Morris Blackburn and Stanley William Hayter
Of course we will have works from our times with new works on paper, canvas and sculpture by Amze Emmons, Peter Brooke, Lynne Clibanoff, Nona Hershey, Steven Ford, Michael Canning, Cheryl Warrick and Donald Teskey.
Hours and location can be found just left of this message and we hope to see you there.
