Jean Morrison’s geometric abstractions emerged while she made intaglio prints at Atelier 17 in New York. She continued to develop her highly formal style throughout her career. We enjoy the dialogue established between hot and cool colors, twisting shapes and selective lines in this untitled painting on paper made in 1951.
