Bose made his way to Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop by way of a scholarship that took him from India to Paris and Atelier 17. There, he worked closely with Krishna Reddy to develop the viscosity technique. From Paris he moved onto New York, teaching at Lehman College and Blackburn's. His holds themes that reach back to ancient India and at the same time feel Contemporary.
