Rachel Selekman’s solo exhibition, Making Connections continues through October 5th. Making Connections is the first time Selekman has exhibited sculpture and works on paper together. Her mixed-media sculptures include watering can bases and/or watering can remnants, stand-ins for the human body and skin, respectively, and explore the dynamics of relationships: how people engage and interact. Her collages address similar themes, employ a lexicon of images, and are built incrementally, often incorporating sewing.
