Norma Morgan filled her prints with a marvelous array of detail, and Stony Clove is no exception. Barefoot lovers’ embrace and kiss among wild meadow grasses. Their passion echoed in the vastness of the Catskill Mountains setting. A decrepit cabin marks the middle distance and exalted light filters from the sky. Morgan is in awe of the natural world, and her figures merge into it rather than dominate the scene. The energy she sustains to create subtle light, figures, and space with a burin on copper is an extraordinary achievement.
