Layers, upon layers, visible and barely visible, multiplication of printmaking techniques so subtle as to be mysterious, characterize these works. They encompass the life history of the artist while resonating differently to everyone. Understanding the complex creation of each image is not always possible - nonetheless the genuine human message of each emerges from the layers.
