Return to the Root is one of Cheryl's most successful prints. Tree imagery was a frequent subject during this period, symbolizing knowledge and nourishment. Here the tree combines with passages of pattern, and landscape and all are beautifully integrated. Cheryl worked closely with master print artist Catherine Kernan. All impressions within the small, variable edition include a monotype element, making each semi-unique. Very satisfying.
